Bring your printed pages, put them in reading order, and decide which edge you want bound. Include front and back covers if your project needs them.
Ask staff which binding supplies fit the available machine and your book’s thickness. Check the machine’s posted instructions before beginning.
Have spare paper available. Test the setup before using your final pages, especially if this is your first time binding a book.
Try a student writing collection, science journal, classroom reference book, or teacher planning booklet.
These checkpoints help you follow the demonstration. They do not replace the operating instructions for the machine.
Watch how MiQuel introduces the equipment. Locate the same parts on the machine in front of you and confirm you have compatible supplies.
Pause when the setup is shown. Compare the demonstrated page position and settings with your machine. Ask staff to check anything that is unclear.
Follow the demonstrated operation using a test sheet or small test batch, within the machine’s stated capacity. Inspect the result before continuing.
Replay the relevant part of the video and follow the demonstrated sequence. Keep your pages in order and use only the batch size and binding method approved for this machine.
Stop before using final pages. Replay the setup demonstration and have staff verify the page position and settings.
Stop and ask staff for help. Do not force a handle or try to clear the mechanism while operating it.
Ask staff to check whether the binding supply and size are appropriate for your project before making changes.
Record the details you confirm from the demonstration or with staff, so you can repeat the process next time.

Bring the material you want to use and have staff confirm it is suitable. Check the approved thickness and number of layers.
Use spare approved material for your first cut. Check the result before using your final supplies.
Use these checkpoints alongside Blair’s demonstration. Ask staff to check anything that is unclear.
Watch Blair introduce the equipment. Locate the same parts and confirm which dies, materials, and accessories are approved for the machine.
Pause when Blair shows the setup. Compare the demonstrated arrangement with your machine. Ask staff to verify it before making a cut.
Follow the demonstrated sequence with spare approved material. Stay within the machine’s stated limits and inspect the result before using your final material.
Replay the relevant part of the video and follow the demonstrated sequence. Use only approved materials and the capacity confirmed for this machine.
Pause and ask staff to check the approved material, layer count, and arrangement. Do not add pressure or repeat the operation without confirming the correct procedure.
Stop using the machine and ask staff for help. Do not force the mechanism.
Have staff confirm compatibility before continuing. Use a test piece after the setup has been checked.
